Bob has over thirty years of operations management and training experience in several large industrial goods and consumer products organizations. Bob’s unique background positions him to deal effectively with operational, organizational and process related challenges at the scale of the enterprise, business unit, function and team. His facilitation and leadership styles are as effective on the shop floor as they are in the boardroom.

Following a career in sales and finance, Bob joined the Instrument Division of Dresser Industries as a Production Manager. He held positions of increasing responsibility including Business Manager and Strategic Business Unit Manager. Bob led the implementation of lean manufacturing and built a process improvement team culture. Following sixteen years with Dresser, Bob accepted the position of Manufacturing Manager at the Lewis Engineering Company, a division of Coltec Industries, manufacturers of aerospace and industrial products. While at Lewis Engineering, he introduced and implemented lean manufacturing techniques that dramatically improved process efficiencies and reduced inventories. In 1995, Bob joined the New Products and Technology Division of Duracell as Manufacturing Manager, but transitioned to the role of Training and Development Manager in order to build the technical capability of a new and rapidly expanding workforce. Within two years, Bob’s position grew to include all Duracell manufacturing facilities globally. In this role, he set the strategic direction for learning and development and introduced many key capability and competency development initiatives. Following the acquisition of Duracell by the Gillette Company, Bob assumed the position of Director of Global Learning and Development for Gillette’s Global Technical and Manufacturing Operations. In this role, he was responsible for setting the strategic direction for learning and development at Gillette’s 32 manufacturing sites.

Bob holds a Masters Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of New Haven. He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development and the International Society for Performance Improvement. Bob is a former faculty member at Sacred Heart University’s Graduate School of Business. He holds multiple certifications in the areas of behavioral and organizational assessment and has worked extensively with leadership teams throughout North America, Europe, Latin and South America, India, Japan and China.

Bob and his wife Karen reside in Orange, Connecticut.
